Harpsichord modelled on 16th century instruments
Harpsichord after northern Italian models of the 16th century: Before the 'invention' of the basso continuo at the beginning of the 17th century, the disposition 8'4' was the rule in northern Italy. Two eight-foots, as they appear to us today as the standard for Italian harpsichords, became common only later.
